This entry is misleading because it refers to the lodge and not the entire resort. The lodge is conveniently located off the highway so you can pull in and get a room. This place is very clean and very quiet for the type of accommodation it is. The staff is very professional and friendly. WiFi worked well. Room was very warm.

I saw countless reviews saying the place was run down and didn't have amenities. What I found was a quaint room that was clean and had character and charm. You can't expect Hilton-like accommodations in the middle of nowhere, in a historic building. The staff was friendly and the area was beautiful, and close enough to Freeport to jet in for dinner. The price was also reasonable for the area. I did not have time to try breakfast, and did not interact with the staff much, so I can't say much more on that front. I would avoid staying there during tourist season, but would definitely stay again.
Country themed room that was spacious and clean. We had a view of the golf course . The staff is very friendly. You cant beat the price and the casino is a 5 minute drive.They also provide free shuttle bus to the casino if needed.
We had our Wedding here on 9/10/17. Cyndi and her team were the most thoughtful and forthcoming team. Everything was decorated for us and it was incredible. Everything about the event went perfect- including the after party at Mel's Hill top. I loved everything about it!
